Privacy policy

Effective October 15, 2026

WoodClubHub is a free directory of woodworking clubs, guilds and schools in the US and Canada, run independently from Nebraska. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we collect very little, we don't sell any of it, and we'll fix or remove information about you if you ask.

When you browse the site

We use two privacy-focused analytics tools to see which pages people visit and how they find the site:

Neither tool tells us who you are, and we don't try to figure it out. The site itself doesn't set tracking cookies. Search runs entirely in your browser, so what you search for isn't sent to us.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (like IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

When you send the add or update form

The add or update form asks for club details plus, optionally, your name, your email and your connection to the club. We use that to review your submission and, if needed, follow up with you. Your name and email are never published.

Submissions are stored in a database on Cloudflare and emailed to us so we can review them. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam bots. Turnstile looks at signals like your IP address and browser to tell people from bots, and Cloudflare says it doesn't use that information to identify, profile or target anyone.

We keep submissions as long as they're useful for maintaining the directory. Ask and we'll delete yours.

Information in club listings

Listings come from the original WoodClubHub list, public sources like club websites, and submissions from clubs and readers. Some entries include details about real people, like an officer's name or a member's home address used as a club mailing address. We store those so we can verify listings, but we don't publish them:

See the listing policy for the details, including how to get a listing corrected or removed.

What we don't do

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. That covers your form submissions and any club listing that includes your information. Depending on where you live (California, Canada, the EU and others), you may have additional rights under local law. We'll honor reasonable requests no matter where you are.

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, email the WoodClubHub inbox, or use the update form and say what you'd like changed.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
